A few piano notes, a melody, a voice soft and sensual … Note you may fall in love with Agnes Obel.
Agnes obelalbum ObelAttention talent! The surf from the north come here and may well just get on its way. Yet it is only sweetness, subtlety and tenderness. Our hearts can only listen to capsize Philharmonic, the first album Agnes Obel Thaarup Carolina. The young singer is originally from Denmark but was exiled in Berlin (again) for 4 years with two pianos. It does not lay an album like that by accident, so no need to repeat history with the family of musicians and piano lessons at an early age. The talent must be earned and it is working. And a boss the beautiful Agnes, first in a group before launching a solo career. And there she stands proudly on the cover of his album. Yes it has much to be proud Agnes because Philharmonic is an album with great potential. The 12 tracks that make up this album are successful, although most are rather grouped at the beginning of the disk. These are securities which the melancholic piano is necessarily very far. Some guitar strings or cello-by, however, appear here and there. Some pieces could be included on film soundtracks and it’s a safe bet that some producers are struggling to the tune of dollars to get these songs. Besides the beautiful “Just So” is already on a commercial telecommunications in Germany.
A river of melancholy and tenderness

The beginning of the disk is particularly effective with his “tubes”. The instrumental intro “Catching Falling” makes us immediately think of a movie soundtrack or TV series. In track 2 and 3, the two best tracks on the album are connected and make us dizzy. “Riverside”, a river of melancholy and tenderness. Agnes’s voice is so deep and releases a lot of emotions. We are not given the melodious “Brother Sparow” we transpèrse head. Some notes simple, but so fair and effective. One wonders why no one had yet found the melody, so it seems obvious. “Just So” that the Germans must know continues the good work and class album definitely among the wines. Into 4 pieces, the vamp is already there.
The rest of the album is good, maybe a little less catchy than the first, but the listener still find something to satisfy his thirst for spleen and ideal. Always melodies perfect for movies where anything can capsize a moment to the next (Philharmonic, Wallflower). These moments where time is suspended from a musical note. “Over The Hill” at the end we finished album
